WHERE WE ARE LOCATED 
Le Casacce country estate is located near the ancient hamlet of Seggiano, close to the small market town of Castel del Piano in the heart of southern Tuscany. The world famous wine town of Montalcino is only 20 km distant and Siena is an easy 65 km.

ACCESS

By Air

The region is served by four international airports - Pisa, Rome Fiumicino, Rome Ciampino and Florence. Car hire is then available at all airports. Travelling time from each airport to the Estate is approximately 2 hrs 45 minutes.

By Car
From Florence, take the A1 Autostrada in the direction of Roma. Take the exit Chiusi/Chianciano Terme, follow road SS146 to Chianciano Terme. Cross the town, then take road SP40 until you reach  road SR2 (Via Cassia) where you turn right direction Siena. Cross the hamlet of Gallina and after about 6km turn left on road SP323 direction Seggiano/Castel del Piano. Then after crossing Castiglione d' Orcia and travelling about 15km, at 2 km before Seggiano and 500m after the 'Albergo Il Cacciatore', turn right signposted Poggio Ferro and Le Casacce will be found 500m further on the right.

From Pisa Follow directions for the Autostrada A12 and join it in the direction of Livorno. Follow the motorway until it ends and take the SS1 main road towards Aurelia (dual carriageway) direction Rome; after about 154 km. you reach the ring road around Grosseto where you take the exit signposted Siena. Take the SS223 in the direction of Siena. Take the second exit at Paganico and take the SP64 road signposted for Castel del Piano - Monte Amiata - Arcidosso. After about 50km cross Castel del Piano, continue following signs for Siena. After about 10km, cross Seggiano and after about 2.5km , turn left signposted Poggio Ferro and Le Casacce.

From Rome Ciampino, take the A1 Autostrada for Firenze (Florence). After approx. 170 km from Rome, take the exit signposted Chiusi/Chianciano Terme. See above as from Florence.

From Rome Fiumicino you can take the same route as from Rome Ciampino or the coast route. In this case take the motorway A91 direction Rome; after 7km take the motorway A12 to Civitavecchia; at the end of the motorway, take road SS1 Aurelia for 170 km until you reach the ring road around Grosseto, where you take the exit direction Siena. Then continue the same as the approach from Pisa.
